Chic Freak’s AW/14 collection is fabulously fun and flirty, taking their inspiration from the 1974 art film The Night Porter starring Charlotte Rampling. Chic Freak’s aim was to create a modern college girl’s version of the look and has achieved this through an injection of fun thanks to the St. Trinian’s films.
The challenge behind the collection, which is made from tinted PVC and high gloss PVC, was using and reworking the fabric making it non-fetish yet modern, playful and feminine.
The collection pops with a bright an exciting palette ranging from scarlet red, electric blue, sophisticated taupe, milky white, silver grey and liquorish black appearing in high gloss PVC. Chic Freak has also been experimented with clear PVC on which they have digitally printed scenes of evergreen forests, which add to the playfulness that this collection oozes.
